Yes you can do exactly what the above picture portrays. You need this $1.99 app called Liquid Scale. This app can do an intelligent analysis of the image you want to crop and then detects the subject in comparison to the background. And then it manipulates the subject and resizes the photo. Give it a shot. Here is the App Store link.
Liquid Scale allows to scale images horizontally or vertically without distorting the content. A Photo with too much background can be condensed to its main motif. It’s possible to mark image areas to remove or preserve them. No question: Anybody can now perform tricks with images.
Features:
- Content Aware Image Resizing- Mark areas for removal or to preserve them
- Send results directly by mail or save them into the camera roll
- Before-after toggle
- Select from three qualities (low, medium or high resolution)
- Live Seams View. Using this feature you can see exactly what’s going on while resizing.
iPhone Dev Team released Pwnage Tool 3.1.5 yesterday. If you are on iPhone OS 3.1.3 and want to jailbreak or unlock your phone, go for this pwnage tool.
PwnageTool 3.1.5 for Mac OS X will let you do so safely, preserving your jailbreak and ultrasn0w unlock. (If you use the blacksn0w unlock (at baseband 05.11.07), you need to stay at 3.1.2.)
Over to iPhone Dev Team:
iPhone 3G and 3GS unlockers should always be very wary to update their firmware. This is no exception. If you make a mistake along the way you may find yourself updating to official 3.1.3 in which case you will lose your unlock, possibly forever.
iPhone 3GS users (regardless of unlock) should stay away from this and all 3.1.3 jailbreak tools unless you know you have your “SHSH hashes” backed up via Cydia. That’s because if you make a mistake you may find yourself stuck at official 3.1.3 with no way to jailbreak or come back down to 3.1.2 to jailbreak.
If you really truly feel that you need to update, this version creates a custom 3.1.3 IPSW for you to restore to on your iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS with early bootrom, iPod touch 1G, and iPod touch 2G with early bootrom. If you don’t know if you have an early bootrom or not, please avoid updating until you learn more.

Could 4th Gen iPhones be taller than the current ones? Might come true if we go by this rumor coming from iPhone repair site iResQ. The folks over at iResQ have posted some photos that reportedly show parts of the new iPhone.
It looks like the iPhone 4G is about 1/4 inch taller than the previous iPhones (which are all 115mm tall).
Another difference with the new iPhone is that it has a small reflective surface above the speaker (this might be just a proximity sensor).
And “the LCD appears to be factory glued to the digitizer,” this making the iPhone 4G more similar to the first-gen iPhone than to the 3G and 3GS models.
Over to MacRumors - Claimed leaks of future iPhone parts from Asian suppliers have been relatively common in the past, although such claims should generally be taken with a grain of salt, as evidenced by a claimed iPhone bezel leaked last May that actually turned out to be a part from the Creative Zii Egg.
