has been updated - 2.0.0. If the previous version on 2.0 (iPhone 3G unlocking software for windows) din’t work for you, this version might just work. Here is how to go about unlocking your iPhone 3G if you are on windows. Also, find the steps to uninstall 2.0, if you have already tried it earlier:

Features

- Support for both 1.1.4 and 2.0
- Custom Image Support
- Custom Payload Support
- 3g iPhone support
- Support for WinXP and Vista 32/64bit. Note Windows 2003/2008 server (Yes SERVER) are not supported
neither is Windows 95 or Windows 3.11

How to upgrade to 2.0:

- Now PwnageTool 2.0 for Windows - Unleash your iPhone 3G
- Apple Iphone App’s Winpwn How To

Notes:

- You MUST do a full uninstall of before installing the new version
- Make sure you have the latest version of iTunes ( Currently 7.7)
- uses 300MB of ram at peak due to the ipsw being extracted in memory
- You must first click browse and load an IPSW to use (i thought this was clear)
- For 2.0 only the *5A347_Restore.ipsw files are valid. The 345 image will not work
- If you see Failed to load image catalog/payload catalog, this is fine and won’t cause problems
- If you already have service with AT&T do not activate or install Youtube Fix.

For error >> The Iphone could not be restored” An unknown error occured(6) shows your iphone is not in DFU MODE ( it was in recovery mode )first understand difference between dfu n recovery mode .. in DFU mode phone is completely blank not shows cable and itunes logo on phone’s display, this is recovery mode.. To put your phone in DFU mode… First connect your phone to cable.. wait for few seconds like 30 to 50 seconds.. now close itunes.. >> re-open your itune .. dont mind whether itune is detected your phone or not.. now power off your phone and then press and hold your power button and home button at the same time for 10 seconds.. DO NOT COUNT IN MIND.. open your pc clock look at seconds hand and count excetly 10 seconds and at the 10th second release only power button and keep the home button pressed that time.. when it is reached 25+ seconds..at this time you will get a pop up like found new hardware .. iphone is in DFU mode>> phone is connected to itunes.. you are pressing two buttons then after some times your phone goes switched off( Blank display )phone become disappeared in itunes… and then phone turn ons… itunes detects it.. while reaching the 25-30 seconds.. you can see a “New hardware found” pop up baloon at the system tra…. APPLE HARDWARE (DFU) MODE.. it will be something like this.. then only your iphone in DFU mode.. then you try to restore the custom created ipsw file.. I am sure there will not be any error. These error 6, error 20, error 16xx is happening if you are in recovery mode.. what i felt is error 20 is occuring if the itunes is not pwned…now try this you will get sure success ( tested many times ) .. ( Thanks SIJO )

                    About Me

Hi, I have been using this awesome invention called iPhone in Bangalore, India from November 2007 and have gone nutzzz over this.
Nuts to an extent that I have started my own blog on iPhone. I will be covering various developments happening around Apple iPhone. Will cover everything and anything which is even remotely connected to the iPhone. But will put more emphasis on iPhone news and buzz from an Indian perspective.
