97% Apps downloaded by iPhone users are for play, and only 3% is for work
Posted on 2008 under AppStore |This insight has been provided by valleywag.com. Wall Street Journal blog mentions that there are around 2000 apps on AppStore that is available for download, out of which only 65 are of business use. This works out to be 3% of total apps available for download. This proves that iPhone users are more interested in fun apps and not serious. This might change in the future though.
Apple’s iPhone has some 2,000 apps available for download. Of those, 65 have some arguable business application, Ben Worthen notes in a Wall Street Journal blog. Only 3 out of the top 100 most downloaded applications are business-related. The most plausible interpretation of those numbers: iPhone buyers and developers are, 97 times out of 100, uninterested in apps for doing business.
