I am not sure how many of us use Wifi finder related apps on iPhone. I used to use a few during my iPAQ days. But now I don’t find any 3rd part Wifi management apps useful, since iPhone’s wifi setting manage is damn intelligent.

Anyways, I downloaded this app called WiFinder which is available for Free for sometime I guess. Has some cool features. I am going to use to for some time and if its useful, I will continue to keep it on my springboard.

WiFinder – $2.99 Free [AppStore]

- Groups networks by open vs. closed for easier browsing
- Auto-scan at user-defined interval and optional alarm when a new open network can be used
- Connect directly to an open network from a details page, which also shows a much larger drill-down (MAC address, noise ratio, etc)
- Dramatic improvment in scan quality for a wider variety of access points, network conditions, and also “non-US” locations

wifinder WiFinder App moves down to $0.00 from $2.99 within a month

This blog of mine has been getting tremendous response and is being followed by all kinds of mobile phone users from all over the globe. Most of the traffic comes from the US and Europe. Thank you all for making this blog a success :)
