2.2 Firmware is Out – Update Your iPhone Now
Posted on 2008 under Firmware Versions, Pwnage Hacks, iTunes | 2 CommentsApple has just released its 2.2 iPhone firmware. To update your iPhone, Launch iTunes > Connect your iPhone > and click “Check Update”. Download 2.2 firmware.
WARNING – UNLOCKED AND/OR JAILBROKEN IPHONES USERS : DO NOT UPGRADE

List of Featured Updates:
- Enhancements to Maps
- Google Street View
- public transit and walking diretions
- display address of dropped pins
- share location via email
- Enhancements to Mail
- resolved isolated issues with scheduled fetching of email
- improved formatting of wide HTML email
- Improved stability and performance of Safari
- Podcasts are now available for download in iTunes application (over Wi-Fi and cellular)
- Decrease in call set-up failures and call drops
- Improved sound quality of visual voicemail messages
- Pressing the Home button from any Home screen takes you to the first Home screen
- Preferences to turn on/off auto-correction in Keyboard settings
- 2.2 fixes the issue with broken App Store links in Mobile Safari

The new 2.2.1 firmware will lock your iPhone. Dont upgrade to 2.2.1. But you can upgrade to 2.2.0 from 1.1.3.

hi guys,is there anyone tried to update their iphone 2G ver. 1.1.3 to the latest version 2.2 and can run this version to my phone?
