Posted on 2009 under AppStore, Paid Apps, iPhone Apps | No CommentRemember ‘Podcaster’ app that was rejected by Apple last year? Well this app has been ACCEPTED by Apple. Its called the RSS Player. Alex, the developer of Podcaster, renamed this app and created RSS Player, which is exactly Podcaster, but removed the directory tab. There are no download restrictions on podcast sizes over 3G and this costs $1.99 [AppStore Download Link]
RSS Player – $1.99 [AppStore]
Specifically designed to play audio files attached to rss feeds.
FEATURES
*stream audio to device
*download audio and listen when offline
*remembers play position after interruption like a phone call or alarm
*check for new feed items on demand
*automatic downloading of feed attachments
LIMITATIONS
This app is governed by the rules of the app store and sdk. RssPlayer will not continue to play if closed but will resume from where it left off when re-opened. The app is contained inside of a sandbox environment and therefore cannot share downloads with other apps but this allows us to uninstall every trace of the app simply by removing it from the iPhone home screen.
