Google will soon bring Offline-GMail to iPhone – Use Gmail in Airplane Mode
Posted on 2009 under iPhone Apps | No CommentGoogle demoed another interesting GMail app concept for iPhone, last evening. An offline-capable webapp for the iPhone 3G which allows full access to GMail even while the handset is in airplane mode.
This news was reported by TechCrunch:
Google’s VP of Engineering, Vic Gundotra says that the app is dependant on HTML5’s AppCache and Database standards, so developers need only code one application for multiple platforms with a GUI that’s identical for all. I’m not familiar with HTML5, but I guess the application will store not only the user data but also the software. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

The date of release hasnt been spelt out by Google.
