Next-Gen iPhone Specs Leaked At A Chinese Forum

A Chinese forum called Weiphone has leaked quite a few info about the Next-Gen iPhone that is going to be released around June this year. Found this info at MacRumors as usual :) .

  • Model number MB717LL
  • 600MHz CPU Speed (up from 400MHz)
  • 256MB RAM (up from 128MB)
  • Digital Compass and FM
  • 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus
  • 32GB size
  • No major changes in battery, screen and external casing.

    The forum also mentioned FM radio which makes this all seem suspicious. But the rest of the info is nothing new and has been circulating the web for quite some time now.

    There were few leaked screenshots at BGJ which showed FM radio codes. I think FM and digital compass is going to be there in the next version, vikas.

    Well in almost 8 years of iPod history Apple never introduced fm even though most of it’s competetion had it. It’s not in their strategy to provide fm by default with their products. To prove my point further the current iPod touch has built in fm hardware. Still apple never enabled it. So IMHO fm is a no no. Digital compass, Video recording have been pretty much confirmed in the new iPhone thanx to OS 3.0 beta sent to the developers.
