‘YXFlash Player’ is the first Xvid/Divx, Flash Video, and WMV player for the iPhone

This cool Cydia app called ‘YXFlash Player‘ can do wonders to you XViD, DivX or AVI files lying idle in your computer. YXflash is video player for mobile devices, It supports High quality Xvid/Divx, Flash Video, and WMV playback on iPhone. You dont have to convert these kind of files anymore to play it in iPhone. But, you will need a jailbroken iPhone for this to work. BigBoss has shared this information:

YXFlash player is out for iPhone and released in our repository. This marks the first actually usable xvid / divx player for the iPhone. Finally you can watch that collection of avi files you have laying around without having to convert them into Apple’s annoying format first.

Note: This player is not yet fully bug free – Over to BigBoss “While the converted videos do play a bit smoother due to hardware acceleration, but xvid videos are watchable, at least the ones I tested.The player also plays flash content if you have downloaded flash flv videos to your device”.

This app is available for free and can be downloaded from Cydia app.

How to push movie files into iPhone:
In order to add the videos, just SCP (can use winSCP) them onto your device or use something like iPhone Browser.

Bull. It’s a paying program with dubious benefits as trial plays only 30 sec video if it plays at all. If it were any good you would get at least 15 days trial in full. Do not install.

Thanks for this review Hubble.. These cydia apps are cheap and want to just make money. Lets stick with appstore apps. Atleast developers who develop for app store keep the quality upto mark and dont cheat.

App won’t play wmv, as soon as you tap on the filename it starts and shuts the video down in a fraction of a second. No errors messages, just a faulty app. Whoever pays for this just got scammed.
