When KROLL was released last year it was priced at $7.99. And its available for just $0.99. KROLL [App Store link] combines the inspiration of genuine arcade gameplay and surpasses the frontiers of 3D graphics on a cell device to bring you the most realistic fighting scenes. iPhoneForum’s Kittu has reviewed this 3D arcade game. Thanks buddy:

KROLL – Reviewed
Genre: Action Platform $ 7.99 $0.99
by Kittu Dhanoa

Last week the price of  this game was reduced to $0.99 from original price of $7.99. .

So many of us who had not previously bought this game, downloaded it now. Still there might be a few guys debating weather to buy this game or not. So this review is for them.

First of all let me tell you this game is a side scrolling game. Not that it spoils the fun, but its not a full 3D game also where you can freely roam the world.

The story of Kroll or the game is devided into 3 chapters which have 9 side scrolling stages.

You play as warrior Delon and your mission is to Exterminate the soul of Kroll – the mage lord of life. you play in the magical world of Leterna where 6 of 7 mage lords have been killed. Completing your mission requires hacking your way through the demonic minions.

The game control consists of three semi transparent buttons on each side of the screen. The bottom most arrow   buttons on each side moves Delon in the forward or backward direction. Two center buttons on each sides are fast attack buttons whereas the topmost buttons on both the sides enable you to carry out combo or heavy attacks. As Delon goes on his  killing spree , a tiny power meter situated below the health bar keeps on filling and once filled increases Delon’s  attack power. There is also a blast meter by which you can unleash blast attack simply by shaking the device. Basically the controls are straight forward. Delon nearly always stays in the center of the unfolding action and this makes it possible to tap away at the button with both thumbs. Killing the scorpions is easy while killing the lance equipped big brothers will have you vigorously punching  away at the buttons.

Kroll boasts of a phenomenal visual quality, sleek design, and energetic game play. The game fills the eyes with gorgeous scenes overflowing with color and small details. I think that the two dimensional side scrolling game play adds to the appeal of the game.

On the downside the game is too straight forward and too short. You can easily finish the game in over an hour. The ending is abrupt and sudden and when I played this game I kept on wondering if the Game had actually finished.

I would recommend this game to the fans of action button bashing games. At earlier price tag of $ 7.99 I might not have recommended this game except for the hardcore fans of the genere , but at sale price of $0.99 this game is definitely worth a dekho.
