Posted on 2009 under Firmware Versions | 3 CommentsNow that you have downloaded and installed OS 3.0, some of you might be pretty confused with the feature list of OS 3.0 and why few features are not supported on your iPhone hardware. Apple has shared this bit of information in a check-list format showing some major features supported by all iPhone models, by the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3G S, and by the new iPhone 3G S. Check it out:
For a list of additional features and capabilities available on all iPhone models, see the iPhone OS 3.0 Software Update page.
Notes:
- Peer-to-peer connectivity requires compatible applications, which can be downloaded from the App Store when available.
- The original iPhone does not support using Bluetooth for peer-to-peer connectivity. It can use Wi-Fi and cellular data networks for peer-to-peer connectivity.
- MMS is not available in all areas; fees may apply. See your carrier for availability.
- Internet tethering is not currently offered in the United States and some other countries. See your carrier for availability.
