If you weren't previously using a PUSH e-mail service (exchange / Yahoo for example). Then you wont have noticed a battery drain previously.

You have to expect increased battery drain due to the way PUSH data is delivered, it's just one of those things, if your not happy with it then you'll have to live without PUSH data.

Oh just one more thing... there is no time interval setting on PUSH accounts on the iPhone, are you sure you're using PUSH e-mail? (Only Microsoft Exchange / MobileMe & Yahoo! are PUSH enabled)

Might in that case be the interval set by the push service for "pinging" your device.

Just depends what Apples APNS API allows you to define in the way you send notifications to it.

The Push emailing service wasnt draining my battery at all. I have email push set to 15mins still and my battery doesnt drain.
But I think AP mobile was the culprit. I have AIM push on from morning and my battery seems to be just fine.
