Loading ...There is some great news for all you iPhone users who love short stories. Alexandru Brie has launched this iPhone app called the ‘Colossal Short Stories Collection’ for just $0.99 [App Store link], which is packed with a whopping 2,222 public-domain short stories. There are quite a few short stories apps in the App Store already, but this one has the biggest collection of short stories. You will find authors ranging from Mark Twain to Leo Tolstoy and the app lists all of them in an alphabetical order. The only problem is that you cannot browse by story title and there seems to be no search option either.
Ideal for the book worm and the occasional reader alike – out of the over 2222 short stories, for every taste and mood there are hundreds waiting – tens of thousands of pages of adventure, suspense, horror, crime or romance:
Balzac, Dostoyevsky, Chekhov or Pushkin? Maybe Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes detective stories? Or Edgar Rice Burroughs’s adventure stories with Tarzan of the apes? Or Dickens, James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, Herman Melville, Mark Twain? Or maybe Kipling, Edgar Allan Poe, H. P. Lovecraft or Bram Stoker? Or any other of the almost two hundred classic giants? Such a big collection!I love short stories.I can't wait now to get it soon.There will be problem of browsing stories and there is no search option but i hope these will be solved very soon.Thanks for sharing.
