Get TV On Your iPhone Via 3G – Thanks To EyeTV Live3G Web App

A company called Elgato Systems announced a new web app for streaming live video over 3G called the EyeTV Live3G. It uses HTTP Live Streaming via H.264 video and AAC audio. You need to have iPhone OS 3.1, and an EyeTV tuner on a compatible Mac for this to work. For the 3G service, you need an iPhone 3G or 3GS, however, the wifi portion should work on any iPhone or iPod Touch.
Looking to catch your favorite show or the big game while you’re out? A new solution from Elgato makes that now possible over a 3G wireless connection.
Basically now users can link up to their home Mac, which is connected to an EyeTV tuner, and watch their local TV programming. With the addition of 3G, users can now enjoy the service where ever they receive 3G data connection.
