97% of iPhone users are on 3.0 or higher OS, compared to only 68% of iPod touch users

According to AdMob, 80% of iPhone users are on 3.1 OS currently. Check the data below. This represents the percentage of worldwide traffic AdMob saw by studying the iPhone and iPod touch usage pattern between December 14-21st 2009.

It shows that iPod touch users lag iPhone users in upgrading their OS; 97% of our iPhone traffic comes from 3.0 or higher, compared to only 68% of iPod touch traffic.
