This 99 cents Qik VideoCamera [App Store] for iPhone can actually record pretty good quality videos on 2G and 3G iPhones. It can record videos at 7 frames per second (fps) with a resolution of 352 x 288. This is slow and tiny compared to the true video frame rates available on the iPhone 3GS and practically every other phone at 640×480 or even better. But if you still have no plans to upgraded to a 3GS, try this app. It should be worth it.
High quality video application for 2G and 3G iPhones (does not make much sense for 3GS other than length of recording).
High frame rate (7FPS) and resolution (352×288) along with smart video compression technology, you can take more video and use less space on your iPhone.
Videos can be exported to Camera Roll on your phone, and then downloaded via iPhoto on your Mac.
Up to 1 hour of video recording.
Only portrait orientation supported right now.
