iphone os 3.1.3 jailbreak 250x171 STOP!!! Do not upgrade your iPhone OS from 3.1.2 to 3.1.3 if you are on Jailbreak iPhoneHold it, do not hit the upgrade button in your iTunes if you have jailbroken your iPhone. Looks like Apple has hit back against Jailbreakers. iPhone OS 3.1.3 is BIG trouble for Jailbreak iPhone users. Even though iPhone Dev Team has released a newer version of Redsn0w that allows 3.1.3 jailbreak, its not recommended. Dev Team calls this version of redsn0w for experimental purposes only.

DO NOT UPGRADE TO IPHONE 0S 3.1.3 IF YOU ARE ON JAILBREAK/UNLOCKED IPHONE. And if you have done already, check this post by BigBoss and screen through the comments under that post.

BigBoss has just reported that Apple has stopped signing the iPhone OS 3.1.2 firmware, which means that you cannot use iTunes to install a custom firmware of 3.1.2. It would also mean that if you have upgraded to OS 3.1.3, you CANNOT DOWNGRADE to any older version.

Just a note that Apple stopped signing 3.1.2 today. That means those of you 3gs or iPod touch
3 users that did not rush out and store your TSS in Cydia or Rock are screwed and cannot restore anything but 3.1.3. If you are a jailbreak user running a 3gs or ipod touch 3 (or later generation ipod touch 2) that has not stored the TSS in cydia, you should be very careful with what you do from now until the next jailbroken firmware. You will want to be careful in what you install to make sure you don’t have to restore for any reason. It would be a good idea to install open SSH and learn how to use it so that you can get in and fix any problems without a restore, also.

3g / 2g users need not worry as you dont need Apple to sign your firmware files.
