This might be true. iPhoneAtlas has this report on iPhone 3G firmware having FM radio support. Here is what iPhoneAtlas has to say:
Reports from users in possession of the latest iPhone 3G firmware indicate that the device will have support for both FM radio and FOTA (firmware over the air). FM radio support means that the iPhone 3G may be able to make use of devices like Apple’s own “iPod Radio Remote,” which includes an FM tuner and allows users to listen to FM radio stations. Current iPhone and iPod touch models are incompatible with the radio remote.

iPhone firmware 2.0 will be released later today, I guess. Please do not upgrade to this firmware. You iPhone might be permanently bricked. Please read what bigboss has to say:
DO NOT UPGRADE!
At this point, you can expect 2.0 to be locked and jailed. This means you will only be able to use contract carriers such as AT&T. You will not be able to unlock. The upgrade process will likely be a one-way trip for now also. This means if you “accidentally” upgrade, you will not be able to go back (for now).
Jailbreak: 2.0 may not be jailbroken anytime soon. But even if it is, you will still stand to lose a lot (read further). For now, let’s assume it is not jailbroken and that means you are stuck with whatever Apple and AppStore provides you.
I already upgraded. What now? You can downgrade to 1.1.4 and bootneuter using the new baseband with 1.1.4.

AppleInsider has news that iPhone 2.0 will have Geo-Tagging to phones app in iPhone2.0. Here is what they have to say - People familiar with the release, reportedly labeled build 5A292g, say location-aware services such as “Maps” and “Camera” now ask the user’s permission before transmitting data used to identify their current geographical location. The addition as it applies to the Camera application is interesting in that it suggests Apple is actively working on adding support for geo-tagging photographs, those people say.

iPhoneAtlas has reported that the new iPhone 2.0 might have another interesting feature. Importing SIM contacts directly to iPhone. Here is what these guys had to say:
The latest build of iPhone OS 2.0 (5a258f), now available to developers who have been accepted into Apple’s $99 iPhone Developer program, includes a feature dubbed “Import SIM Contacts” that presumably does as its name implies, extracting contacts stored on the SIM and copying them to the iPhone’s internal storage.

As we near the iPhone 2.0 launch, there have been fresh discoveries being made in the iPhone 2.0 SDK. TUAW has reported that - An anonymous tipster has told that the code found in the latest firmware release, Apple is working on a new iPhone application called iControl. Like Apple TV and other remote controllers, it would allow the iPhone to connect wirelessly to local iTunes libraries and browse through and play media from those sources.
Another report on TUAW talks about Jabber chat support coming to 2.0 - TUAW anonymous iControl tipster has returned and tells us that a new XMPP framework has been spotten in the latest iPhone firmware. XMPP refers to the open source standard developed by the Jabber community for instant messaging. Remember back in March when Apple announced it would support native instant messaging? In a nutshell, it looks like Apple’s new iPhone-based chat will be built on Jabber/XMPP.
Lets hope these rumors come true. Jabber native support on iPhone would be great. And iControl would make iPhone the next most desired gadget for the year 2008 as well.
