You can now do some fancy iOS multitasking on your iPhones including iPhone 4. MultiFlow is a Cydia background app is available for Free and brings Mac Expose like navigation between closing multiple apps. Check it out:
Exposé-like multitasking for iOS! Works with iOS4, and iPad! Totally rewritten for speed, reliability, a redesigned interface, and iOS4! Multifl0w shows all open apps (up to 9) on the same screen, for easy and quick task switching. The tabs are re-arrangeable, just drag an drop! In iOS4, Multifl0w can work alongside or totally replace Apple’s task switcher! Also compatible on iOS 3.1.X, just be sure to install the free app Backgrounder. Also, on iOS4, Backgrounder enables more customization so you can get the multitasking style you want.
The first publicly released version of multifl0w, v1.0, was released on Sunday, November 21st, 2009. The newest version, version 2.0.0, can be downloaded from the Cydia Store or Rock Your Phone.
There is this new multitasking mod for jailbroken iPhones called ‘Multifl0w’. The interface looks damn sleek. Basically you access more than one iPhone app using this mod, as it allows apps run in the background. But I usually find it too difficult to run multiple apps on my iPhone 3G, it simply keeps crashing. That might be one of the reason, why Apple hasnt yet brought mulitasking.
You can download Multifl0w by launching Cydia on your iPhone. Costs $4.99 after a 10-day trial.
After downloading iTwitter [another popular Twitter Client for iPhone, $3.99 App Store link], I realized that I cannot use another twitter client just to get push notifications for my @mentions and DMs. Since I am a dedicated user of Twitterrific, I just cant jump to another app for push and I decided to wait for Twitterrific to bring Push someday.
And last evening, I found a comment by Jonathan George talking about this cool app that just does the right thing for me. Boxcar [$2.99, App Store link] Twitter client for iPhone does exactly what I need, it can actually poll your Twitter feed every 5 minutes and sends out push notifications whenever a new direct message (DM) or @reply (@mention) arrives. Also messages sent between Boxcar users will be pushed out immediately. Where as iTwitter allows push notifications only work when both parties use the iTwitter client.
But please note that Boxcar is not a full featured Twitter client for iPhone. While you can reply to direct messages right from the app, it will actually open up either Tweetie and Twitterific Twitter client in order to open up replies. This is again the thing I needed ). But the next version of Boxcar, it will also give you a choice to handle your direct messages in another Twitter client as well (this version has already been submitted to Apple). The new version will support multiple Twitter accounts.
DOOM Resurrection was launched yesterday and looks like the whole iPhone world is going GAGA over this game. Developed by id Software, this game is the iPhone version of the original Doom game. Coming to this review, usually Kittu Dhanoa from our forum does a detailed review of interesting games that get launched on App Store. Hey, I would like to thank Kittu for these awesome reviews. Kittu will be reviewing this game very soon. In the meanwhile, Vikas, another dedicated member of our forum has just written an awesome and casual review about DOOM Resurrection. Thanks buddy . Check it out:
In one simple word the game is Fan-DOOM-Tastic. Ok that wasnt one word. But pretty much sums up the marvelous game. Id has done 100% justice to the series. There couldnt be anything more I could ask from an iPhone port of doom(ok maybe multiplayer and those half clad girls in the original game ). I was skeptical about the game as I hadnt read anything about the control scheme. In fact I had assumed it`ll be using an onscreen D-Pad/joystics like the rest of FPS games on iPhone. I hate these d-pads on any iPhone game but still play them as there is no option other than not getting the game in the first place(which is is not really an option either as so many great games are coming out for iPhone. Cant resist at all).

You cannot use this app unless your have jailbroken your iPhone. But its worth checking out. iTypeFastR is available for $3.99 with a 20 day free trial offer. Here is what the developers of this app say – iPhone’s keyboard is slightly too small to type fast. iTypeFastR fixes that. The iTypeFastR keyboard works because of the adapted QWERTY design in which the letters most used in the English language are made much larger.

Download the app on Cydia, in the category ‘Keyboards’.
UPDATE: This website is no more following the popurl.com’s format. Its just another iPhone news website.
If you are one of those iPhone followers who end up opening over 5-7 websites every morning to get a complete update on iPhone news and rumors, there seems to be a solution for this problem. I found this Aggregator website called iPhoneTabloid.com, which pulls up RSS feeds from websites like iPhone Dev Team, ModMyi, AppleInsider, Engadget, Gizmodo and many more top iPhone websites all in one page.
iPhoneTabloid.com seems to be inspired by one of the first website aggregator called popurls.com. And if you follow Apple’s AppStore closely, do check out this subsection of iPhoneTabloid – AppWorld.iphonetabloid.com. Infact I follow another iPhone aggregator called iphone.alltops.com which provides me my daily dose of iPhone news.
UPDATE: I found my blog’s RSS feed on iPhoneTabloid as well . Its right at the bottom of the page. Hope to see it move up soon.
