If you have a jailbroken or unlocked iPhone, you might face this issue sometime in future. I am not saying that you will face this ‘iPhone Stuck On Apple Logo’ bug, but if you ever face it, dont panic. This iPhone getting stuck on reboot or hanging issue on Apple logo happens when you are trying to jailbreak your iPhone or after installing a jailbroken app. If this happens, you will need to put your iPhone in DFU(Device Firmware Update mode) mode which will restore your iPhone completely. Since you wont have any other option, you will have to go for this option or else your iPhone will remain in this bricked condition for ever.

Check this video to get your iPhone into a DFU mode:

If you are not able to follow the video, try these steps:

  1. You need to first connect your Apple logo stuck iPhone to iTunes.
  2. And then hold the Home button and Power button at the same time for 10 seconds.
  3. After 10 sections, release the Power button. Do not release Home button, keep holding the Home button another 10+ seconds. You will see a message in iTunes that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.
  4. Your iPhone is in DFU mode now. Click OK and click Restore button in iTunes.

This is not an easy task. You might have to repeat this process over 3-5 times to get it right.

Best of luck. Drop a comment if you find it difficult to un-brick your iPhone.

This mod seems to be pretty cool. A Russian website has posted this video showing how the apple logo at the back of iPhone 1st Gen can be made to glow. Pretty cool stuff. But it doesnt reveal how to go about making this happen.
