And now this app is not more available on . It no longer appears in searches, coder Armin Heinrich’s list of apps, or the most-recent apps list. Apple might have removed it. This is good though. As our elders say - ‘there is nothing called quick money’

UPDATE: This is THE update I have been looking for. This news has been discovered by valleywag.com. There is this someone’s husband who has accidentally paid $999.99 for this absolutely useless iPhone app. Here is how he became the first and last person in this world to buy this DUMB app for $999.99 :)

After discovering Armein Heinrich’s $999.99 do-nothing “I Am Rich” iPhone widget, Apple iTunes App Store reviewer Lee5279xx claims that he “clicked buy, thinking it was a joke, to see what happened. I forgot my wife had ‘iclick’ activated on my laptop and it really bought this app for $999″… via valleywag.com

UPDATE 2: LA Times reports that eight individuals bought the $999.99 I am Rich application before it was pulled off the store.

Six people from the United States, one from Germany and one from France dropped a grand for the gem in the first 24 hours it was available, Heinrich said. That’s $5,600 in revenue for Heinrich and $2,400 for Apple, which collects 30% of each sale for “store upkeep.”
