This might sound a bit crazy but its true. Most of us know by now that iPhone 2.0 with 3G is going to be launched by 9th of June. But these people cease to get this. They have already started queuing up to pick up the iPhone version. We all know that iPhone 2.0 could be the greatest mobile phone that would have been invented by any mobile co yet, but this is crazy
This pix was posted by Jon Accarrino on Thursday, May 22nd, 2008 on cultofmac.com website.

Here is what he has to say - Blogger Jon Accarrino of Methodshop reports that lines are already forming in NYC for iPhone 2.0, which is rumored to be launched on June 9 (the first day of Apple’s WWDC and Steve Jobs’ opening speech).
Jon went by Apple’s 5th Avenue store this morning and found a line of about 50 people all waiting for iPhones — or so retail staffers told him.

Apple has sent messages to its iTunes Season Pass subscribers offering credit for shows missed (and yet to be missed) during the recent screenwriters’ strike. Also, early access to the true iPhone 2.0 beta software and SDK has revealed new features as well as Apple’s digital signing method, while Apple itself hopes to assuage some rejected developers.
Apple offers strike-related iTunes refunds
Apple is preempting a potential backlash by crediting iTunes customers whose Season Pass downloads may fall short of expectations due to production delays caused by the Writers Guild of America strike over the past few months, according to e-mail messages received by customers.

Looking for iPhone 2.0 features? Here’s it, iPhone 2.0 is going to go live this June.
- Exchange is so on! Changes are pushed over the network, but over WiFi it does check-ins, so it’s not as instantaneous.
- There’s no contact search that we can see, so far. Maybe that only gets turned on if you have thousands of contacts (which we definitely do not).
- There’s a new button in the calendar, but we don’t know what it is and can’t make it do anything.
- The App Store is there, of course, but doesn’t do anything yet (except error out that it can’t connect).
- Wondering when Apple will make good on its agreement to license Cisco technology? Well, the branded Cisco VPN screen has definitely been added to the VPN settings. We couldn’t really test this one, but assume it works as advertised. We don’t yet know if it supports SecurID or other hardware token authenticators.
- Parental controls most certainly work. Marvel as we turn off YouTube!
- You can now order your preferred WiFi networks.
- In addition to having a new sideways scientific mode(!), the basic calculator now does commas and has new, useful functions for the math nerds; both the calc and the iTunes icons have changed.
- By far our favorite new feature is multi-select in mail, though. Now when you hit edit you can select as many messages as you want and delete or move them as a group. Friggin’ finally. Now where’s that two-pane client?

This comes as a surprise to me. Apple had released this version only to a limited number of testers. And the iPhone Dev Team published a screenshot of what is reported to be a jailbroken iPhone 2.0 installation.
According to ModMyiFone’s sources, the Dev team has already jailbroken the beta 2.0 iPhone firmware that Apple has only released to a limited number of testers. The jailbroken iPhone freely allows installation of iPhone applications, bypassing Apple’s $99/year developer program which includes an official developer certificate.
Apple will be releasing the final iPhone 2.0 firmware in June alongside the launch of the iTunes App Store. The iPhone SDK is currently available for free download
