Google was the first big corp that jumped the iPhone bandwagon. Google came up with quite a few iPhone optimized web apps such as google search, reader, iGoogle, news etc. Then can Yahoo. Yahoo optimized its web interface for iPhone and also came up with a iPhone friendly social networking web app called ‘OneConnect’.

And now arch rival has started building iPhone apps. Macnn has reported that MS is building a voice controlled search app called “Tellme voice-activated search” for iPhone. As per Macnn - the service allows users to vocalize their search terms, which are combined with GPS information to find the closest listings. Movie information, including showtime listings, can be retrieved through Fandango; sports, weather, driving and travel information represent some of the other focuses.

Tellme will be adapted for the iPhone’s unique interface, probably through use of a large virtual button to initiate voice, says senior Tellme director Dariusz Paczuski.
