Remember .app, which was rejected by Apple last month? .app replicated the Podcast feature of iTunes and that was the only reason it was rejected by Apple, many bloggers felt. And now, TUAW has shared another hidded feature in 2.2 firmware. On the air downloading of podcasts directly to your Podcast tab of iPod.app is now going to be possible after 2.2 update. Though this seems to be a rumor, when it appears on TUAW, its almost confirmed. Lets see how this works:

A tipster shared with us some screenshots of the new firmware, including what appears to be the ability to download podcasts directly to your iPhone (and presumably your iPod touch). This could tidily explain why Apple rejected the Podcaster app last month. The option to “get more episodes” doesn’t appear to work in this firmware build, however.

Hi, I have been using this awesome invention called the Apple iPhone from November 2007 and have gone nutzzz over it. Nuts to an extent that I started this blog which talks just about iPhone and nothing else.

This blog of mine has been getting tremendous response and is being followed by all kinds of mobile phone users from all over the globe. Most of the traffic comes from the US and Europe. Thank you all for making this blog a success :)
