Yes, you are reading it right. A daring “modder” has tried this on his iPhone. I guess most of us are not very happy about the sound output coming out of iPhone speakers.

Perhaps it’s time to take extreme measures, as some owners have resorted to… like sticking a needle through the holes in the speaker enclosure. Yes, according to a “modder” it’s possible to get a 40-percent increase in volume via this simple-yet-destructive trick of perforating the thin plastic which covers the speaker. Apparently, the phone gets so loud post-surgery that the volume is actually startling to some users.

But hey, try this at your very risk. I won’t be responsible if something goes wrong. As a matter of fact I don’t have the guts to try this. And more over my speakers are good for now. If it goes bad in future, I might try this out.

    About Me

Hi, I have been using this awesome invention called the Apple iPhone from November 2007 and have gone nutzzz over it. Nuts to an extent that I started this blog which talks just about iPhone and nothing else.

This blog of mine has been getting tremendous response and is being followed by all kinds of mobile phone users from all over the globe. Most of the traffic comes from the US and Europe. Thank you all for making this blog a success :)
