I found the latest versions of few of my favorite Native Apps that I use the most, under Installer.app. These apps are now less buggy and are rocking now. I am addicted to these native apps and use it daily. Here is the List of Apps with its latest versions
- Navizon GPS - Version 2.0.1
- Mobile RSS - Version 2.4.1
- Locations - Version 0.3.1
- Mobile Scrobbler - Version 1.4.2
I used to find Navizon and Mobile RSS freeze a few times which used to be buggy. With these updates, I have started liking it more and more. After updating these apps to the latest versions, none of them have hung on me yet. So it seems to be functioning smoothly now…
Which of the Native Apps are your favorites? I have a list of Apps that I use the most. Let me list them out now, in the order of my preference.
- Safari - This is definitely the most advanced and most user friendly web browser for smart phones that I have used in ages. Safari just rocks. Full website browsing, zoom in - zoom out, multiple tabs, landscape mode are few of the features that I used the most. I used to use Internet Explorer on HP IPAQ earlier and was never happy surfing the web on a mobile device.

- Mail - I have around 7 Email accounts and I find it really simple to use all of them on my iPhone. I had been using the Email app on my HP IPAQ earlier and used to find it a bit more cumbersome, but now its a piece of cake. I don’t use automatic mail checking feature, but regularly check manually. Just hit the “Mail” icon on springboard and wait for all my mails get updated at one go. Just being on the first screen of “Mail”app pulls all the unread mails within 5-15 seconds.

- Phone - This got to be amongst the top 3 apps that I use the most. But yes this comes at no.3. :). I love contact scrolling feature and the call conferencing feature the most in this.
————–
- Calender and SMS features - Calender helps me keep tab of whats happening at my work. SMS keeps me in touch with few of my old friends.
————–
- Stocks and iPod - Stocks in iPhone is so damn cool. I usually follow stocks from the BSE and NSE (Indian stocks) and for the first few days after I bought iPhone, I though this app is only of people who follow US stocks. I was wrong. I tried to add a BSE stock by just typing a few letters while searching for stocks and found the right one immediately. Since this app uses quotes from finance.yahoo.com, it just works great. iPod is the best thing that could have happened to me lately. The landscape mode of iPod (coverflow) is awesome. I usually copy 2-3 movies in an mp4 format when I am on the move and really love watching it on iPhone. The feature which makes sure that the movie continues from where I stopped last time is just awesome.

- Mobile RSS - This native app just keeps me busy all the time. Earlier versions of Mobile RSS used to hang and crash all the time. But with the new version, this issue has been almost reduce to zero. The best 3rd party native app that I have

- Photos and Camera - Though the 2mp camera quality doesn’t meet my expectations, I use the camera when I need it and. The Photos app is great, I have more than 800 fav pictures stored in it.
————–
- iRadio - I find my favorite stations in this native app. I love hindi and bollywood music and I find more that 20 stations of my liking in this app. Just rocks…
————–
- Navizon and Locations - These 2 native apps rock when I travel. I follow Navizon when I want track where I am moving and since its just like another GPS software, it just looks too cool to see how this app refereshes in seconds and makes me feel that I am moving on my “Maps” virtually. I have 2 webcams that I keep track of and Locations does that for me.
————–
- YouTube - I don’t use this app regularly. But the interface is just awesome. There is no buffering issues at all. Since I am on a high wifi bandwidth, I watch few videos not very often, but this app keeps be engrossed when there is nothing much to do.
By the way, thanks for your support in making this blog of mine a big success
