Selling unlocked iPhone 3G in Hong Kong, Italy - Coming to India soon

iPhoneAtlas has reported that is being sold in Hong Kong and Italy. This is going to be music to iPhone freaks living in countries other than US. And I have my sources in Bangalore saying that is going to be sold in grey market very soon in Indian Metros as well. As early as late July. Isnt this great news. I will keep you guys informed on my blog. Anyways here is what IPhoneAtlas has to say:

We have received multiple reports indicating that the iPhone 3G is being sold as an unlocked device by 3 Hutchnison Telecommunications in Hong Kong and TIM in Italy. This means that users can insert any carrier’s SIM card into the device and access the attached network. However, both carriers are still requiring users to sign a two-year contract before they purchase the unlocked iPhones.
