iPhoneDevTeam have released the windows version of QuickPwn. QuickPwn can unlock and jailbreak iPhone 1st gen devices. But if you are on 3G version, don’t install QuickPwn. You will have to wait for Pwnage to update QuickPwn and WinPwn to support unlocking of iPhone 3G. Here is what their blog has to say:

This was very quick iPhoneDevTeam. This time you guys jailbroke 2.1 firmware within 24hrs. I guess this is great news for all those iPhone 1st Gen users. But still, iPhone 3G is not unlockable using this Pwnage, WinPwn or QuickPwn software. So if you are on 3G version and want to unlock it, this will be of no help. But if you are on older version, go for this. Though there are few bugs that users are facing while using this 2.1version on iPhone, there are quite a few solutions - mentioned in these comments section on iPhoneDevTeam’s blog.

QuickPwn complements WinPwn/PwnageTool. This has been released by iPhone Dev Team to reduce the hassle of needing iTunes to rebuild/restore your device afterwards. Here is how this sub-app works:
iPhone Dev Team says that it’s a tool that will make jailbreaking a phone more quickly and easily, without requiring a full restore. It’s more convenient because you do not need to make a full IPSW and use iTunes with it, but your phone still ends up pwned and jailbroken.
Currently QuickPwn requires your device to be running version 2.0.1 of the iPhone/iPod firmware. This requirement will change in a subsequent release.

So here comes 2.0.0.3, which promises to get rid of all the bugs and easily unlock iPhone 3G using windows OS. NOTE: 2.0.0.3 fixes the Ipwner crash problem and 16xx errors. It will also fix the iPod ipswBuilder failure bug.

All this while pwnage, the revolutionary unlocking tool for iPhone was only for Macs. But this morning the guys behind this rocking tool have lauched winpwn, pwnage for windows. Its not fully ready yet but looks promising. It supports iPhone on 2.0 only which hasnt yet been released.
How does this winpwn works?
There is 2 parts of the pwnage hack. First part being the actual “pwn” which flashes a custom bootloader. This will allow you to load modified ipsw files (i.e ones that have custom logos and have already been jailbroken). Second part is the IPSW Builder which lets you customize your ipsws
